A Dream That Started
Far From Florida
I grew up in Venezuela with big dreams and an unshakeable belief that hard work opens doors. When I made the decision to start a new chapter in the United States — and specifically in Florida — I wasn't just looking for a place to live. I was looking for a place to belong.
Florida gave me that. The sunshine, the warmth of the people, the energy of a state that's always growing — it felt like home before I had one here. I fell in love with the beaches, the culture, the diversity, and the opportunity this state offers to everyone willing to work for it.
"I became a REALTOR® because I wanted to give other families the feeling I had the first time I held the keys to my Florida home."
Service and sacrifice are values I grew up watching. My father is from Denver, Colorado — a proud U.S. Army veteran who completed multiple tours in Vietnam. His courage and commitment to something greater than himself shaped who I am. My younger brother carries that same spirit today as an active duty United States Marine. In our family, showing up — fully, no matter the cost — isn't optional. It's just who we are.
My greatest adventure began when I met my wife, Ellen — a remarkable woman from Brazil. Ellen is the reason my Portuguese is fluent, the reason our home is filled with warmth and two cultures woven together beautifully. Together we built our family right here in Florida — our sons Derek and Ryan were born here, true Florida natives. This state isn't just where I work. It's where my family has roots, where my boys are growing up, and where our story keeps being written.
That's what drives me every single day. Whether you're a family relocating from another state, a Brazilian investor looking for your first U.S. property, a Venezuelan professional building roots in a new country, or a first-time buyer who thought homeownership was out of reach — I've either lived your story or I've helped someone just like you.
I'm not just your agent at the closing table. Ask Santiago Ortega — I showed up at his new home after closing just to celebrate with his family. That moment, seeing the joy on their faces, is exactly why I do this work.
